Inclement Weather
Inclement weather is always a possibiility. If you are planning on being outside for your program it is highly encouraged to secure an alternative location.
In the event of a weather emergency, the ND emergency alerty system may provide you with a notificiation or a member of our team will contact you on site.
Please make sure to communicate with student group leaders who will be present for the duration of the event that it may be delayed and/or cancelled if the following take place:
- The University emergency alert system has been activated for a shelter in place for severe weather or tornado warning.
- Lightning is within ten (10) mile radius of campus.
- High winds of 20 MPH or more and if a tent and/or inflatable equipment is present.
- Wind chill drops to 10 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
- Heat index is 90 degrees Fahrenheit for an athletic program or 104 degrees Fahrenheit for a non-athletic program.
In the event a University emergency alert system has been activiated or a member of our team communicates with you, the group must comply with the directives of staff members and help relocate your program participants to shelter.
