OUR PROGRAM
Our student employment program provides a premier experience focused on learning and leadership while being a force for good for our community, spaces, and services. We employ over 200 students annually while providing a student-centered experience that balances your academics with the responsibilities of the role.
HIRING PROCESS
Positions are available throughout the year with limited employment opportunities in the summer.
All open positions will be listed on studentjobs.nd.edu job board throughout the year. You can fill out an application for an open position or general interest throughout the year.
We encourage all students to review the New Student Employee Guide to understand the eligibility requirements and I-9 process through Human Resoruces. Whether you are a first-time student employee or have been employed previously, we encourage you to prepare for an interview with helpful resources through the Meruelo Family Center for Career Development.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
| Office Assistants | You will serve as the first point of contact for the Student Activities Office. This position is customer service focused and you will connect with our various professional staff members throughout your shift |
| Building Manager | Building managers provide coverage in Washington Hall, Stepan Center, Duncan Student Center, and LaFortune Student Center. They assist with the preparation for events and building management. |
| Welcome Desk Attendant | Welcome Desk attendants serve as the primary point of contact for guests entering the building. They will assist with questions, answer phone calls and be knowledgable about campus locations and university resources. |
| Library Lawn Attendant | The Library Lawn team is responsible for running events on the lawn, connecting with guests in the space, and assist with equipment for the lawn. |
| Event Ambassador |
The primary responsibility of an Event Ambassador is to assist with aspects of hospitality and guest management within all of our spaces and be the primary event ambassadors. Students will work throughout the week and especially during late night and weekends for events. |
| The StaND | Students will be responsible for The StaND as a service point for selling tickets, merchandise, and assisting with delivery of our cake service products throughout the semester. |
| Student Shop | Students will be responsible for fullfiling orders for the Student Shop storeroom, preparing shippping, and connect with student organizations. |
