Shamrock Leadership Series Book Club

Dive into developing your leadership skills this Winter Break with the Shamrock Leadership Series Book Club. Participants will be reading Grit by Angela Duckworth over the break and upon return to campus in the Spring Semester, the cohort will gather in critical group discussions about their thoughts, points, interpretations, and research highlighted in the book. It will be a space for open-dialogue to ask questions and dig deeper into the guided content with peers.

Grit by Angela Duckworth speaks about the definition of grit in combination of passion for a goal and perseverance to achieve it through statistical data and narratives. Duckworth explains how the amount of grit a person has is determined by genetics and life experience, but how it can be increased by taking steps.
