Shamrock Leadership Series Registration
The SHAMROCK LEADERSHIP SERIES (SLS) engages members of the Notre Dame community in creating and sustaining a culture of lifelong leadership development, training, and education. SLS seeks to empower students to become everyday leaders by facilitating and encouraging opportunities for the advancement of the mission of the University of Notre Dame through co-curricular learning, intentional engagement, self-reflection, and professional development. This program seeks to create leadership in excellence through the transformative experience of the Shamrock Leadership Series.
Participants in the SLS will:
-Participate in interactive workshops to gain greater understanding of leadership concepts
-Become familiar with the many opportunities to become engaged in campus activities at Notre Dame during and after the program has ended.
-Understand leadership topics in context of personal experiences and goals.
-Connect leadership with service to social justice.
The First-Year Institute is the foundation course of the Student Activities Office’s Shamrock Leadership Series, focusing on individual leadership skills. Students will learn to identify, strengthen, and expand their capacity for leadership within the framework of the University of Notre Dame’s Catholic teachings and legacy.
The Sophomore Institute is the second course of the Student Activities Office’s Shamrock Leadership Series, focusing on civic engagement: working to make a difference in our communities and developing the combination of knowledge, skills, values, and motivation to make that difference. Apply for the Sophomore Leadership Institute to learn how you can be more civic minded and begin making a difference in the South Bend Community.
The Junior Institute is the third course of the Student Activities Office’s Shamrock Leadership Series, focusing on utilizing career-focused leadership skill sets from all disciplines in order to compliment the holistic education and mission-centered experiences at the University of Notre Dame.
The Capstone Institute provides graduating students the opportunity to serve as Senior Leadership Mentors to participants in the First-Year Institute, focusing on facilitation skills and mastery of leadership principles. Students will learn to identify, strengthen, and expand their capacity for leadership within the framework of the University of Notre Dame’s Catholic teachings and legacy.
