Erin Riordan joined the University of Notre Dame in 2017 and currently serves as Assistant Director for Student Involvement where she is responsible for the oversight of almost 500 student groups, coordinating major campus-wide events, and designing and facilitating a variety of leadership development workshops and trainings. She works collaboratively with many University departments to build and maintain sustainable, creative, and engaging campus-wide initiatives with strategic goals.
Born in West Virginia, Erin spent the first 26 years of her life living and working in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in video production and obtaining a Masters of Arts in Communications from Ohio University, she served her local community in AmeriCorps, promoting student involvement and retention at a community college for one of the nation’s most economically vulnerable rural populations. After joining the staff at Marietta College (Marietta, OH) in 2014, she led the school and its student groups to numerous national awards for student involvement and programming.
Erin brings several years of experience in higher education and leadership to ND, a passion for helping students achieve success, and a unique outlook born from her Appalachian roots.
